JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team snapped a road losing streak defeating Jacksonville State on Wednesday 4-3 at the JSU Tennis Courts. The win was the Owls first on the road since April 14, 2018 when they defeated USC Upstate 4-3.
 
 "Solid team win today on the road," Director of Tennis Matt Emery said. "This team took it to us pretty good last year at our place so it's always nice to turn the tables. Aspen (Jarrett) was an absolute rock again in both singles and doubles and Sofia (Pinedo) did a phenomenal job under pressure to get her second clinch. We didn't play our best at some spots and that is going to happen. The positive thing today was we still found a way to win."
 
KSU clinched the doubles point with a pair of victories on courts two and three. Tina Vlajic and Aspen Jarrett (KSU) defeated Marine Alberteau and Sara Jamal 6-1 at No. 2. After a JSU win at No. 1, Brenna Reilly and Elle Baker took down Balsen Kaya and Alessia Locati 6-3 to clinch the point at No. 3.
 
 In singles, JSU would pick up a win at No. 2 to tie the match. Jarrett and Vlajic would extend the Owls lead to 3-1. Jarrett ran past Sara Jamal 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6. Vlajic followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Balsen Kaya at No. 3. The Gamecocks picked up a pair of wins on courts one and four to tie the match. Freshman Sofia Pinedo clinched the victory for the Owls defeating Marine Alberteau 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5.
 
The Owls are set to host Middle Tennessee Saturday (Mar. 14) at 12 p.m. on the Betty Siegel Courts at KSU.
