Match Preview
The Kennesaw States women's tennis team is looking to secure its first road win of the season at Jacksonville State on Wednesday (Mar 11) at 1 p.m. EST on the JSU Tennis Courts.
Scouting JSU
The Gamecocks are currently 6-2 on the season with losses against West Alabama and Southern Mississippi. Malin Buechner is 7-1 on the season in singles playing primarily at No. 2. In doubles, Harriet Hamilton and Christina Moll-Alles are 6-1 playing at No. 1.
The Series
Wednesday's match will mark the ninth meeting between the two programs. JSU defeated KSU 5-2 on March 19, 2019. Â Â Â
The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team battled Penn State to the very end falling 5-2 on Saturday (Mar. 7) on the Betty Siegel Courts.
PSU won the doubles point on No. 1 in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-3). Â
Aspen Jarrett andÂ
Tina Vlajic were tied 6-6 when the point was clinched.
PSU took four of the six singles matches to secure the win. Jarrett got the Owls on the board winning (6-2, 6-2) at No. 6 andÂ
Sofia Pinedo finished (6-4, 6-2) at No. 5 giving the Owls their second point.Â
Taylor Dean fought hard at No. 1 before falling to Frederikke Svarre in the second set.
Next Up
The Owls are set to host Middle Tennessee Saturday (Mar 14) at 12 p.m. on the Betty Siegel Courts at KSU.
