Owls Travel to Alabama to Face Jacksonville State

 Match Preview
The Kennesaw States men's tennis team heads to Alabama to face Jacksonville State on Wednesday (Mar. 11) at 4 p.m. EST on the JSU Tennis Courts. A win would give KSU its second win in the state of Alabama this season. The Owls took down Samford 5-2 on February 1 in Birmingham. 

Scouting JSU
The Gamecocks are currently 9-1 on the season. The Gamecocks lone loss came against New Orleans by a score of 4-3 earlier this season.  Aljaz Kaplja is 8-0 on the season in singles matches. In doubles, Kaplja and Thomas Norwood are 6-2 playing primarily at No. 2.

The Series
Wednesday's match will mark the 10th meeting between the two programs since 2009. The Owls defeated the Gamecocks 4-3 on the Betty Siegel Courts on March 19, 2019.   

The Last Time Out
 The Kennesaw State men's tennis team came up on the short end of a 4-0 decision to Louisville on Tuesday (Mar. 3) inside the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

Louisville won the doubles point and three singles matches to obtain the victory. Drew Lahey and Sebastian Osorio were tied 4-4 with Fabien Salle and Matthew Fung when the doubles point was clinched.
 
In singles, Bryan Triana fought hard before losing in straight sets to No. 91 Tin Chen on Court 1.  Osorio grabbed the opening set off Fabian Salle before falling in the second set. Osorio, Kevin Patel and Sergio Ingles were still competing when Louisville clinched the match.

Next Up
The Owls are set to host VCU on Friday (Mar. 13) at 5 p.m.
