Owls Sign Ji Youn Lee and Soomin Kim

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Director of Tennis Matt Emery has announced the signing of Soomin Kim and Ji Youn Lee who will join the program in August 2020.
 
Kim and Lee will come to KSU from ASA Miami where they are currently sophomores on the Silver Storm women's tennis team. As freshmen, they helped lead the Silver Storm to clinch the 2019 NJCAA Division-I National Championship.
 
"We are thrilled to have Soomin and Ji join us in the fall," Emery said. "They both have a very good understanding of the game and how to win matches. They are both going to have a bright future at Kennesaw State."
 
Kim hails from Seoul, South Korea. She is ranked No. 3 in the Junior College Rankings and has ranked as high as 380th in the ITF Singles Rankings. She carries a high UTR of 10.47.
 
Lee is from Yeoju, South Korea. She won three ITF Junior tournaments and carries a UTR high of 10.44.
 
KSU will play UNC Ashville on Sunday (Mar. 1) on the Betty Siegel Courts at 1 p.m.
