KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State soccer added an overseas addition to its roster with the signing of Agata Giani, head Coach Benji Walton announced. Giani hails from Segrate, Milano, Italy and has starred for Inter Milan and FC Internazionale U19.
"We are excited to add another talented midfielder to our team," said Walton. "Agata is going to bring a wealth of experience to our veteran team and I'm looking forward to see her come in and how she will impact our program."
Giani chose KSU over San Jose University, University of South Carolina, and UMass Lowell, and will graduate this spring from J.C. Maxwell High School.
This season for FC Internazionale U19, she has already scored eight goals.
Last year, the club was crowned the Italian Champions and she scored 14 goals. In 2017-18, she poured in 20 goals and led the team to a third-place finish.
With CFB Bocconi (Milano, Italy), she was a Lombardia Region Selection and won first place as the Italian Champions in both 2015 and 2016.
Giani previously played for Polisportiva Segrate, Polisportiva Vimodronese (Milano, Italy) from 2010-2014, and from 2007-2010 with the Taipei European School Soccer Team, and has won the MIC Football Viareggio Cup, Blue Stars Fifa Youth Cup recently in 2019.
