Match Preview
 The Kennesaw State women's tennis travels to Birmingham, Alabama to face the Samford Bulldogs on Sunday (Jan. 25). Samford will be the Owls first opponent of the season that does not play in a Power 5 conference. The Owls have already played Georgia Tech (twice), Kentucky,  Alabama and Clemson.Â

Scouting Samford
Samford is currently 2-1 having defeated Lipscomb and Arkansas State and falling to Mississippi State. The Bulldogs went 13-11 overall and 3-4 conference play, falling to Furman in the SoCon Tournament.

The Series
Sunday's match will be the ninth meeting between the two programs. The Owls fell 6-1 at home on Jan. 26, 2019. Samford leads the series 8-0.

The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback to Clemson on Saturday (Jan. 25) inside the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.
Clemson won the doubles point and six singles matches to win the match.

In doubles, Taylor Dean and Paola Cortez were tied 3-3 with Mackenzy Middlebrooks and Lana Sipek when the doubles point was clinched.

Dean and Sofia Pinedo both gave strong efforts in singles before losing in straight sets.
 Next Up
 The Owls will travel to Statesboro to take on Georgia Southern next Saturday (Feb. 8) at 10 a.m.
