KENNESAW, Ga.- Kennesaw State basketball will host its annual Pink Day on February 8 against Lipscomb.
Â
The women's basketball game will begin at 2 p.m. before the men's basketball game will tipoff at 4:30 p.m.
Â
"This is such a special day for me. To all my friends and my family, and to the KSU and Cobb County community, I want to say thank you," said Head Coach
Agnus Berenato. "I want to say thank you for helping me fight against cancer. I am a cancer survivor because of your support and your love. I would love to see you at the KSU Convocation Center for Pink Day so we can continue to fight together."
Â
Interconnecting the Kennesaw State basketball and the local community, Pink Day will work to promote cancer awareness and continue to build the Coach
Agnus Berenato Endowed Scholarship at KSU for a student who has battled cancer.
Â
Last season, the Kennesaw State University Women's Basketball Team and the Department of Athletics worked with the KSU Foundation to establish an endowed scholarship in honor of Coach Berenato to serve as a reminder of the lasting and meaningful contributions she has made in the lives of students, student-athletes and campus communities throughout her years as a basketball coach.
Â
Kennesaw State basketball is raising money through an in-game silent auction, t-shirt sales, and donations. During the game, fans can engage with informational stations by WellStar. The Susan G. Komen Foundation will be represented on the concourse inside the Convocation Center.
