KENNESAW, Ga. – Khiah Williams and
Sultan Simms were both named ASUN Freshman of the Week the conference announced on
Wednesday (Jan. 29).
Williams finished second in the long jump with a leap of 5.72m (18"9.25") at the Liberty Kickoff. Her mark was further than any of the other 18 freshman who competed in the long jump. This is her first career ASUN Athlete of the Week Award.
Simms finished fourth in the high jump clearing a career-best height 2.05m (6'8.75"). His mark is tied for the best in the ASUN this season. His mark ranks tied for 82
nd nationally this season. This is his first career ASUN Athlete of the Week Award.
The Owls will take this week off and travel to Columbia, S.C. for the South Carolina Invitational Feb.7-8.
