Final Results

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track teams concluded competition at the Liberty Kickoff on Saturday (Jan. 25).
 
Event Wins

• Sarah Hendrick posted a time of 1:12.73 to win the 500m.
• Louise Tocays crossed the line in 24.74 seconds to win the 200m.
• Julija Tarvide cleared 1.70m (5'7") to pick up a victory in the long jump.

 
Combined Events
Men's Heptathlon (Through seven events)

• Scott Simpson finished eighth scoring 4063 points.

 
Notable Performances

• Mekhi Williams finished fourth in the 3K in a time of 8:44.37.
• Tyler Blalock landed a toss of 17.75m (58'3.00') and Tanner Duffin posted a mark of 17.64m (57'3.00) to finish second and third in the shot put.
• Sultan Simms got over the bar at 2.05m (6'8.75") and took home fourth in the high jump.
• Stephen Smith cleared 4.55m (14'11") and finished runner-up in the pole vault.
• Jessica Watkins crossed the finish line in 8.87 seconds to finish fourth in the 60m hurdles.
• Jayla Mobley posted a time of 57.00 seconds and took third in the 400m.
• Khiah Williams landed a jump of 5.72m (18'9.75") to secure second in the long jump.

"We had some ladies really impress this weekend with numerous event wins and season bests. I'm very proud of the way they continue to progress. We have some really young women leading the way and that's exciting."
