Owls Drop Season Opener at Georgia

ATHENS, Ga
. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team fell 8-1 to No. 19 Georgia Monday on the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Tennis Courts at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
 
UGA won the match by collecting the doubles point and all six singles matches. Two extra singles matches were played with each team winning one to bump the final score to 8-1.
 
Harvey Conway beat Sam Dromsky 6-4, 7-6 (7-0) in an extra singles match to claim the Owls lone point of the day.
 
KSU got strong efforts in main draw singles from Bryan Triana and Sebastian Osorio. Triana took No. 57 Trent Bryde to three sets before falling 6-3, 4-6, 6-0. Osorio came up on the short end of a 6-2, 6-4 loss to Tyler Zink.
 
The Owls continue their 2020 spring campaign traveling to Birmingham, Alabama to play Samford on Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. EST.
