ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team fell 4-0 and 4-0 in a pair of matches to Georgia Tech on Saturday at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.

"I was really proud of our fight today," Director of Tennis Matt Emery said. "Playing on the road, indoors, against a national championship-caliber program, with four freshmen in the starting lineup, is obviously a tough ask. Except for a few isolated moments, we competed at every spot. We will learn from some of the things that got exposed and keep getting better. Our staff could not be more excited about this group of girls and what the season holds for them."
 
Georgia Tech (2-0) won the doubles points and three of the six singles contests to take the opening match of the day.
 
KSU was paced in the opening match by Taylor Dean, Aspen Jarrett and Tina Vlajic. All three of their matches went unfinished. Jarrett was leading in the second set of her match when the match was called.
 
In the second match, the Yellow Jackets won four of the six singles matches. Dean, Vlajic and Elle Baker led the Owls. Vlajic was tied and Baker was leading in the second set before the match was called.

The Owls will travel to Lexington, Kentucky to face Kentucky on Friday (Jan. 17) at 4 p.m.
