Match Preview
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team opens its 2020 spring dual match schedule on Saturday (Jan. 11) when it travels to Atlanta, Georgia for a pair of matches with Georgia Tech beginning at noon.
 
The Owls are beginning their 12th season at the NCAA Division I level that dates back to 2008. KSU is coming off a 2-17 season in 2019 and enters this season with a roster that returns four players and welcomes five talented freshmen.

Scouting Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech was 13-13 last season. They fell in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament to Vanderbilt.
 
The Series
Wednesday's match between Kennesaw State and Georgia Tech will be the second between the two programs since 2006. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Owls 6-1 back in January of 2016.

The Last Time Out
 Six members of the KSU women's tennis team concluded play at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic at the Alabama Tennis Stadium on Saturday (Nov.2)

In doubles, the freshmen duo of Paola Cortez and Taylor Dean defeated Laura Bente and Hannah Davies of Memphis 6-2 to finish third in their draw.

Taylor Dean would beat Chunxi Guo of Troy 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 to win her singles flight. Brenna Reilly grabbed a 6-3,6-1 win over Sophie Davis to also win her flight.

Next Up
The Owls will travel to Lexington, Kentucky to face Kentucky on Friday (Jan. 17) at 4 p.m.
