ROCKY FACE, Ga. –
The Kennesaw State men's golf team opened its 2019-20 season on Friday at the Carpet Capital Collegiate at the Farm Golf Club. The Owls sit in 15th place after carding a 27-over par total of 315 in the opening round.

"Today was a difficult start to the season but it shows us some things we can improve going forward," head coach Bryant Odom said. "There's little room for error here at The Farm. We missed in some places making it difficult for recovery. I have seen these players play well the last few weeks and I'm confident in their ability and resolve. We will use today as a way to get better."

Brady Keran led the Owls carding a 6-over par 78. The junior rolled in 12 pars and is tied for 56th overall.

Connor Coffee, Ryan Hines and Preston Topper all posted rounds of 7-over par 79 and sit in a tie for 63rd.

Brock Healy shot 13-over par 85 and is tied for 80th.  Healy and Topper made their KSU debuts on Friday.

The Carpet Capital Collegiate continues Saturday with Kennesaw State scheduled to tee off at 8:24 a.m. and is grouped with Chattanooga and Virginia. All the action can be followed live at www.golfstatresults.com.
