ATLANTA, Ga. - Kennesaw State women's golfer Meva Schmit wasted no time announcing her presence to the conference after she claimed the ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office on Thursday.
In her first action donning the Black and Gold, she tied eighth at the Golfweek Conference Challenge with rounds of 69-69-73 for a five-under-par 211. The freshman from Bali, Indonesia, shot seven-under on par 4s, marking the best in the field of 96, and was one of four players to record two consecutive rounds in the 60s between the three rounds.
Schmit's ASUN Golfer of the Week honor was the 37th all-time honor in Kennesaw State program history.
