Owls Ink Tina Vlajic to Grant-In-Aid

KENNESAW, Ga. -- Kennesaw State Director of Tennis Matt Emery has announced the signing of Tina Vlajic who will join the Owls in January of 2020 after signing a grant-in-aid.
 
Vlajic hails from Stockholm, Sweden.
 
"We are thrilled to have Tina join our program in January," Emery said. "Right from the start, she really impressed our staff with her ambition, maturity, and professionalism. Tina is a dynamic and impactful addition to a freshmen class that we are already really excited about. Huge shout out to Coach Lewis as well, who did a phenomenal job identifying Tina on the recruiting trail."
 
Vlajic ranked as high as #1,374 in the WTA Tour World Singles Rankings and has advanced through the qualifying into the main draw of multiple WTA $15k-level events, as well as the quarterfinals in doubles. She is ranked #11 in Serbia in the Women's Open Singles Rankings and Top 5 in the Under 18's Singles Rankings. She had a UTR rating of 10.33.
 
The women's tennis team returns to the courts on October 11-13 at the Georgia Southern Invitational.
