NASHVILLE, Tenn. –
The Kennesaw State cross country teams competed at the Commodore Classic at Percy Warner Park on Saturday.

The meet was hosted by Vanderbilt and featured schools from across the country.

In the men's 8k, Mekhi Williams paced the Owls running a time of 26.06.8. Koi Williams was the second Owl to cross the line finishing 97th in a time of 26:46.8. Austin Muse took home 112th place in 27:07.5. Peter Brooks (136th ; 29:00.2) and Cameron Paulk (138th ; 29:25.7) rounded out the scoring for the Owls who finished 14th.

The women's team was led in the 6K by Katie Meyer for the second consecutive meet. Meyer finished 55th in 22:36.9. Sarah Hendrick ran a time of 23:15.5 to finish 93rd.  Rachel Van Amburgh posted a time of 23:38.6 to finish 116th. Hope Thornton grabbed 174th in 25:35.1 while Brooke Aumer was 178th in 25:42.5. Ella Weaver collected 183 and Jordan Rozier finished 186th in times of 25:59.4. and 26:22.8 respectively. The Owls finished 17th. 

Notes
- The Commodore Classic was the Owls first meet of 2019.

- Peter Brooks and Ella Weaver made their Owl debuts on Saturday. 

Next Up
The Owls will head to Louisville, Ky. for the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday, October 5.
