Gray Finishes 10th in Heptathlon at USATF Championships

DES Moines, IOWA Jordan Gray finished tenth in the heptathlon at the USATF Championships at Drake Stadium on Sunday.
 
Gray finished the heptathlon with a personal-best 5903 points and collected outdoor personal-best marks in three of the seven events. She opened the event on Saturday posting a personal-best time of 13.80 in the 100m hurdles and a mark of 1.76m (5'9.25") to finish seventh high jump. The Ball Ground, Georgia native finished second in the shot put with a toss of 13.94m (45'9") and closed the day running a lifetime-best time of 24.98 in the 200m. On Sunday, she finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.34m (20'9.75") and 15th in the 800m with a time of 2:21.95 to establish another personal-best mark.
 
Gray puts an end to her storied career at KSU which saw her earn multiple awards on and off the track. In her final season in an Owl uniform, she finished second in the pentathlon and seventh in the heptathlon at the NCAA Championships. Last month she broke the US women's decathlon record scoring 7921 points at the National Decathlon Women's Championship.
