AUSTIN, Texas  – Redshirt seniorÂ
Jordan Gray sits in 10th place after day one of the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium on Friday.
Gray finished with 3466 points on day one. She sits just 406 points behind Texas A&M sophomore Tyra Giddens who leads with 3872 points.
She opened the meet winning her heat with a time of 13.83 to finish 14
th in the 100m hurdles.
The Ball Ground, Georgia native cleared 1.66m (5'5.25") in the high jump to finish 15th.

In the shot put, she landed a throw of 13.65m (44'9.50") to win the event.

In the final event of the day, she ran the third fastest time in program history of 25.01 in the 200m to finish third in her heat and 16
th overall

Gray will finish the final three events of the heptathlon at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium on Saturday, June 8 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Â
