Jordan Hewing was a unanimous selection to the ASUN Men's Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Tuesday, May 28.
Hewing owns a 3.64 GPA while majoring in information systems. He scored the second-most points of any male in the ASUN Championship with 22.5. The Marietta, Ga. native won the gold medal in the 100m with a career-best time of 10.50. That time was good for fifth fastest in program history and ranked tops in the ASUN this season. He finished second in the 200m with a time of 21.19 and ran a leg on the Owls 4x100m that won the gold medal in 40.03 seconds that set an ASUN Championship record. He also a leg of the Owls 4x400m relay team that finished second in 3:13.53. He collected a win in the 4x100m relay and 200 at the Don McGarey Invitational. He closed out his season running a leg on the Owls 4x100m relay team that posted a time of 40.01 in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships East Regional. That time established a new school record.
