KENNESAW, Ga. – After finishing second at the ASUN Outdoor Championship over the weekend, the women's track and field team received a postseason award the conference announced Friday (Mar.1).
Jordan Gray was named ASUN Most Outstanding Field Performer of the meet.
Gray was named MVP of the Meet after scoring 31 points. Her 31 points were the most scored by any athlete at the ASUN Championships. She won the gold medal in the long jump with a leap of 6.20m (20'4.25").That jump ranked No.1 in the ASUN and 32nd in the NCAA East Region this season. The redshirt-senior grabbed a silver medal in the shot put 14.65m (48'0.75"). That toss set a new school record. The Ball Ground, Georgia native finished second in javelin with a throw of 39.07m (128' 2") and was fourth in the pole vault clearing 3.27m (10'8.75"). She was sixth in the discus with a career-best toss of 40.98m (134' 5").
Gray will compete a the 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships (June 5-8) in Austin, Texas in the heptathlon.
