Final Results
MACON, Ga.- The No. 37 Kennesaw State women's golf team finished 10
th at the Brickyard Collegiate at the Brickyard Golf Club.
The final round was cancelled on Tuesday due to poor course conditions.
"Although we're disappointed in the final results and not being able to make a move up the leaderboard today, I know this results isn't indicative of the team's ability or success," Head Coach
Rhyll Brinsmead said. "We talked it over and honestly a reality check is ideal right now and we feel good heading to UGA tomorrow. I'm proud of the team for teeing it up in less than ideal conditions and always representing KSU with pride and passion."
The team carded an 11-over par 299 in the opening round and a 12-over par 300 in the second round for a total of 23-over 599 on Monday. Mercer won the event with a 1-over total of 577.
Clara Aveling led the Owls on Monday. The senior posted rounds of 71-71 for a 2-under par total of 142. She rolled in 22 pars and 9 birdies and finished in sixth place overall.
The Owls will head to the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic (Apr. 11-13) in Athens, Georgia.
