MACON, Ga.- The Kennesaw State women's golf team sits in 10
th place after the opening two rounds of the Brickyard Collegiate at the Brickyard Golf Club.
The team posted an 11-over par 299 in the opening round and a 12-over par 300 in the second round for a total of 23-over 599. KSU sits just five shots out of sixth place. Mercer leads the 13-team field with a 1-over total of 577.
Clara Aveling led the Owls on Monday. The senior posted rounds of 71-71 for a 2-under par total of 142. She rolled in 22 pars and 9 birdies in her opening 36 holes and sits in sixth place overall.
After an opening round 76,
Roanne Tomlinson carded a 1-over par 73 in round two and is tied for 23
rd. Tomlinson had 24 pars in the first two rounds.
Medy Thavong shot rounds of 74-77 u7-over par total of 151 and is tied for 33
rd.
Chloe Thornton recorded rounds of 78-79 and is tied for 60
th at 11-over par 157.
Charlotte Charrayre is tied for 68
th overall at 16-over par 162.
The final round of the Brickyard Collegiate will take place on Tuesday (Apr.9) at the Brickyard Golf Club. Play will begin under a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. off the first and tenth tees.
