Final Results
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team wrapped up play at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate on Sunday, saving its best round for the final day with a 3-under 281 to finish T-13th overall at The Club at Irish Creek.
"The team responded and put together a nice under par round," said head coach
Bryant Odom. "We walk away with some confidence for our next event. A few days off will refresh and ready us for Athens next weekend."
Posting the fifth-lowest round of the day, Kennesaw State moved up one spot each of the last two rounds and finished the three-round tournament at 297-295-281 – 873 (+21). The 3-under par round on Sunday is tied for the fourth lowest team round of the year in relation to par.
UNC Greensboro captured the team championship at 18-under, finishing eight shots ahead of Ohio State (-10). Kansas (-9), Florida State (-6) and Davidson (-4) rounded out the top five. KSU finished deadlocked with Richmond for 13th place at 21-over par.
Wyatt Larkin carded a 2-under 69 on Sunday to record his seventh consecutive top-30 finish at T-28th overall.
Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres and
Connor Coffee both finished in red figures during the final round, as Torres finished T-49th with a 1-under 70, while Coffee followed at T-63rd overall with a 2-under 69. Torres finished the tournament tied for third in the field with 40 pars in the event.
Justin Kim (T-83) and
Brady Keran (92) rounded the top five, while
Conner Rostowsky finished T-55th overall at 6-over playing as an individual.
The Owls return to action on Monday, April 15, traveling to Athens for the Southern Intercollegiate. The one-day 36-hole event is hosted by the University of Georgia at Athens Country Club.
