Day 1 Results | Final Round Pairings
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team opened play at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate on Saturday, posting rounds of 297-295 – 592 (+24) to sit in 14th place after 36 holes at The Club at Irish Creek.
"Today was one of those days where nothing seemed to go right for anyone," said head coach
Bryant Odom. "We've had a great week of prep on some different golf courses and everyone felt ready for the round but we just didn't execute and take advantage of the conditions. We will dust ourselves off and come out tomorrow hungry for some redemption and momentum for the remainder of the spring."
Wyatt Larkin leads the Owls after firing a 1-over 72 in the morning, followed by a 2-over 73 in the afternoon. He is T-49th overall and tied for eighth in the field with 26 pars through 36 holes. Playing as an individual,
Conner Rostowsky matched Larkin, sitting T-49th thanks to a 2-under 69 in the afternoon that featured four birdies. He led the team with seven birdies on the day.
Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres signed for matching 3-over 74's and is T-65th overall, while
Brady Keran is T-68th following rounds of 74-75 – 149 (+7).
