Day 2 Results | Final Round Pairings
BRASELTON, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team remains in third place following the second round of the ASUN Championship, firing a 10-over 298 on Monday at The Legends Course at Chateau Elan.
Kennesaw State caught fire around the turn, recording nine birdies and one eagle on holes 9-12, but the Owls took a blow on No. 10 when senior
Wyatt Larkin withdrew from the competition with an injury. Due to the new substitution rule,
Justin Kim traveled with the team and will be available to compete on Tuesday if Larkin is unable to play.
"Today was the day we needed to move up the leaderboard and get some birdies going with the good conditions and the hole locations and we just didn't get that start we needed," said head coach
Bryant Odom. "We started to get hot around the turn, but unfortunately the biggest thing for the team was that
Wyatt Larkin had to withdraw with an injury. We'll come out tomorrow and see if we can move up and finish the season strong."
No. 14 North Florida continues to pace the field as the only team in red figures at 4-under for the championship, while No. 21 Liberty is 12 shots back at 8-over. KSU remains in third place at 22-over, sitting one shot ahead of Jacksonville (+23).
Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres leads the Owls at 2-over par for the championship following a 3-over 75 on Monday. He rolled in three birdies and caught fire on No. 9 with an eagle on the 526-yard par five.
Connor Coffee had the round of the day for the Owls, posting an even par 72 to climb up to T-15th overall at 6-over for the tournament. He birdied five of the last 10 holes he played, including four straight birdies.
Brady Keran posted a 2-over 74 and is alone in 21st place, while
Grant Sutliff carded a 5-over 77 and enters the final round T-22nd overall.
The Owls return to the course on Tuesday for the final round of the ASUN Championship, teeing off at 9:35 a.m. and playing alongside North Florida and Liberty. Live scoring is available at
