Leadoff
•    KSU is coming off a weekend that saw the Owls drop three games against Lipscomb to move the Owls to 3-3 in league play. The Owls lost their Friday night bout 6-3, Saturday tilt 4-3 and fell in the Sunday contest 13-2.
• In 2019, Kennesaw State is 3-6 in mid-week games this season.
• The Owls completed a sweep over North Alabama in its first weekend of conference play, moving the Owls to 3-0 in ASUN play. 
•  The sweep over UMASS was the first sweep over an opponent this season.
• Kennesaw State is searching for its first win on the road this season. Currently, the Owls are 0-9 away from Stillwell Stadium. 
• Kennesaw State has launched 25 dingers through 29 games this season, which ranks first in the ASUN and 50th in the nation. The Owls are led by Garrett Hodges, who has six moon shots.
•  The Owls have three players on 5-plus game hitting streaks (Simon - 12, Tolve - 9, Norman - 5)
•  Head Coach Mike Sansing recorded another milestone in his career on Wednesday night against PC. With the win over PC, he captured his 1,000th win as the KSU skipper.
• The Owls' second weekend featured KSU winning two games. The Owls played a double-header on Saturday, losing the first game 5-2, but came back and won the second contest 5-2. Kennesaw State won the series with a convincing 11-5 win over Towson on Sunday.
• The Owls bats were hot during opening weekend. The offense yielded 10 extra base hits, including a pair of home runs from Alex Carballo and Terence Norman. Kennesaw State finished the weekend with a team slash of .308/.442/.405.
•  The Owls rank 32nd in the country in sacrifice bunts, laying down 19 through 29 contests. This figure ranks second in the ASUN.
• Tyler Simon and Terence Norman were selections for the 2019 ASUN Preseason All-Conference team. Last season, Norman was tabbed a First Team All-Conference player while Simon was named to the Second Team.

Pitchers
•  Monty Horn has been lights out this season coming out of the pen. He gave up his first  earned run of the season over the weekend against Lipscomb. He has pitched in 7.1 innings pitched and has struck out nine.
•  Brendan Bickleman has pitched well for KSU, picking up two wins in his only two starts.
•  Brooks Buckler has been a unit on the mound this season for the Owls and has pitched at least 6.0 innings in his last four starts. He has unbeatable command as well - striking out 29 with just seven walks on the year. His strikeout-to-walk ratio ranks second in the conference  
•  Jared Rine has been effective coming out of the bullpen for the Owls. As just a freshman, he as 17.1 innings pitched and has given up just three earned runs . He has 22 punchouts on the year, and has allowed just 12 hits. 
•   Jared Staples has been the most familiar arm on the pitching staff this season, as he leads the team with 14 appearances. He has been effective in his 16.0 innings pitched, ranking seventh on the team in ERA (2.81) while recording 15 strikeouts.
•  The Bullpen has stayed balanced for the Owls this season, as 11 Owls have seven or more appearances this season. 
•  After not pitching until March 6 against Georgia Tech, Deviner McCray recorded six outings in the last three weeks of the March. He leads the team in ERA (1.42).
•  Jake McLinskey has been a durable arm for the Owls so far. Of his 10 appearances on the year, he has a four starts. He has recorded a pair of wins and struck out 27 batters in 26.2 innings of work. He recorded his career-high in innings and strikeouts against North Alabama in his Friday start.

Outfielders
•   Garrett Hodges has been an anchor in the Owls outfield and at the plate. He has two multi-home run games and is batting .295 this season. He leads the Owls and is second in the ASUN with six no-doubters and is second in RBIs with 26. He is looking to find his swing back after batting at a .231 clip over the last two weeks.
•  After newcomer Alex Carballo had a dazzling debut for the Owls during opening weekend, in which he batted .417 with a home run, two RBIs and logged a team-high .667 slugging percentage, he has struggled to find his touch at the plate. He is batting .263 over the last 15 games but has four doubles.
•  Terence Norman has found his bat in the last ten games. The junior is batting .305 with five doubles and 10 RBIs. He has been played well in the field, as he just has one error in 2019.

Infielders
•  Jake Franklin has been incredible this season. On the season, he is slashing .309/.518/397. He also has stole four bases and has collected 16 RBIs. Against UNA, he hit at a .444 clip with three RBIs and two home runs.
•  Jaylen Smith has been a staple in the Owls lineup this season, joining Franklin as the only player to start every game.
•  Tyler Simon has found his bat and is hitting .317 over the last 10 games. He has a double, 4 RBIs and has had an on-base percentage of .349 over the span. 
•  David Chabut has put together an impressive start to his senior campaign. He has started all but one game, and is hitting .309 with two doubles, a triple and 11 RBIs. He is also second on the team with 59 assists in the field.  
•  Daniel Seres and Tyler Tolve have split time behind the dish this season. Seres has been impressive in the field, boasting a .976 fielding percentage. He also hit two home runs in the second game against Binghamton.
•  Tolve has been dependable at the plate too - batting .421 in his last five starts. He also hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Owls over UNA in game two.

Series History
• This will be the 27th time these program have met, with Kennesaw State holding a 16-9 series lead.

Last Time
• The last meeting between the two squads was Feb. 27 at Foley Field where the Bulldogs won 11-1. Jake Franklin led the Owls at the plate by finishing 2-for-3.
