Match Preview
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team heads to NJIT on Saturday (Apr. 13) for a match with the Eagles.

The Owls are looking to collect their fifth ASUN win of the 2019 season having dispatched of Lipscomb, North Alabama, Stetson and NJIT earlier this season.

The Owls win over NJIT on Thursday clinched KSU a spot in the ASUN Tournament April 18-20 in DeLand, Fla.


About the Owls
KSU is 10-11 and 4-2 in the ASUN.

The Owls enter play coming off a 5-2 win over NJIT on Thursday.

Sebastian Orsorio leads the Owls in singles with 11-6 record.
 
 Jose Galvez  is 4-0 in ASUN singles action this season.
 
Scouting FGCU
The Eagles are 11-8 overall. They are 6-0 in ASUN play this season and have earned at least a share of the ASUN regular season title. Marcello Tebet guides the Eagles with a 11-5 record this spring


The Series
This will be the 11th meeting in the series between the two teams, which FGCU leads 6-4. KSU won 5-2 in Kennesaw in 2018.


The Last Time Out 
 The Kennesaw State men's tennis team picked up a win over NJIT 5-2 at the The Naimoli Athletics and Recreational Facility on Wednesday.
 
The win clinches the Owls a spot in the ASUN Conference Tournament that is set for April 16-18 at Stetson.
 
KSU won the doubles point winning two of the three matches. Fermin Calvo Barcelo and Drew Lahey got past Pablo Arrutia and Zac Castagna 6-3 at No. 2. Harvey Maughan and Lucas de Torres Curth beat Abdullah Fouad and Lukas Zvikas 6-3 to clinch the point at No. 1
 
After NJIT tied the match, Fermin Calvo Barcelo took down Lukas Zvikas  6-3, 6-4 at No. 1. Harvey Maughan dispatched of Pablo Arrutia 6-2, 7-6 at No. 6 to give the Owls a 2-1 lead. Gaston Muhammad returned to the lineup and collected a 6-2, 7-6 win over Juan Bejarano at No. 5 to clinch the win. Sebastian Osorio edged George Svensson 7-6, 6-3 to close out the match. 


Next Up
The Owls will travel to DeLand, Florida for the ASUN Tournament April 18th-20 at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center on the campus of Stetson University.
