KENNESAW, Ga.- Medy Thavong was named ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week the conference announced Thursday (Mar.28).

Rhyll Brinsmead said. "She played phenomenal golf at El Tigre and earned herself a fourth-place finish. Two of her last four rounds have been under par and I'm excited to see her continue to flourish this spring!"
Thavong was the Owls top finisher at the Hawkeye El-Tigre Invitational. She carded rounds of 74-72-70 for an even-par total of 216. Her round of 2-under par 70 tied for the Owls lowest of the event. Her total score of 216 was her lowest of the season. The senior led the field with 44 pars in the event. This is her fourth career ASUN Women's Golfer of the Week Award.
Thavong and the Owls will head to the Brickyard Intercollegiate (Apr. 8-9) in Macon, Georgia.
