Kennesaw, Ga.- Kameron Davis,
Daniel Haugh and
Paris Williams were named ASUN Outdoor Track, Field and Freshman of the Week the conference announced on Wednesday.
The trio earned the honors after their strong performances at the Yellow Jacket Invitational over the weekend.
Davis was named ASUN Freshman of the Week for the first time in his career. He competed in the 40m hurdles and the 100m dash at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. He finished third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.59. That time is tops in the ASUN by 2.52 seconds. That time ranks No. 32 in the NCAA East Region and 65
th in the NCAA this season.
Haugh won the ASUN Field Athlete of the Week Award. He launched a toss of 70.88m (232' 6") to win the hammer throw. That throw established a new school record. It also ranks No. 1 in the ASUN NCAA East Region and NCAA this season. This is his first career ASUN Award.
Williams collected the ASUN Track Athlete of the Week Award. He posted a time of 14.29 to finish third in the 100m hurdles. His time ranks tops in the ASUN, 12
th in the NCAA East Region and 20
th in the NCAA this season. This marks his first career ASUN Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of Week honor.
The Owls return to action March 22-23 at the Bulldog Relays in Starkville, Mississippi.
