ATLANTA – The Kennesaw State softball team fell 6-3 to host Georgia Tech in its first mid-week game of the season Wednesday in Atlanta.

The contest ended a stretch of 10 straight road games for the Owls (5-10).

After trailing 5-1 heading into the fifth inning, the Owls rallied back to make it a two-run game on an RBI double by
Jade Lee and sacrifice fly by
Lexi Solorzano.
Â
However, the Yellow Jackets (9-6) answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning to increase their lead to 6-3.

Maddie Roth had a hit and scored a pair of runs while Solorzano produced a hit and collected two RBIs.

Hailey Andrews (2-6) suffered the loss, working six innings, allowing eight hits, six runs (five earned), walking five and striking out seven. Andrews fell victim to the extra base hit as she allowed two doubles and a pair of home runs.
