LEXINGTON, Ky.
 – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team fell 5-0 and 6-1 in a pair of matches to Kentucky on Sunday (Feb.10) at the Boone Tennis Center.
"I could not have been more proud of our guys today, especially in the second match," Director of Tennis Matt Emery said. "Kentucky handed it to us pretty good in the first match. For us to come back out 90 minutes later and compete with that type of energy, passion and confidence was very impressive.Kentucky is one of the best indoor teams in the country. They are very well-coached and don't give you anything. They took us out in the singles, but I loved the fight and swagger we competed with."

Kentucky (6-4) won two doubles matches and four singles matches to take the opening match.  Lucas de Torres Curth and Harvey Maughan were leading Fabian Penzkofer and Kevin Huempfner 5-3 when the Wildcats clinched the doubles point.

KSU would win the doubles point in the second match. After the Wildcats took the opening doubles match, KSU picked up a 6-4 win as Bryan Triana and Drew Lahey defeated Ryo Matsumura and Kento Yamada. Then Lucas de Torres Curth and Harvey Maughan took down Kevin Huempfner and  Fabian Penzkofer 6-4 to clinch the point. The Wildcats claimed all six singles matches to secure the win.

The Owls return home to face Samford on Sunday (Feb.17) at the Betty Siegel Courts at Kennesaw State at 2 p.m.
