KENNESAW, Ga.- After 12 days off, Kennesaw State travels to Duquesne for a road tilt with the Dukes. The Owls look to avoid back-to-back losses after falling to Georgia Tech 63-47 on Dec. 8.

Top Storylines
• The Owls return to the first time since Dec. 8 against Georgia Tech. The break is the longest of the season for the Owls. Kennesaw State is off until Dec. 31, which will end as the second-longest break of the season.Â
• Alexis Poole has been incredible so far this season for Kennesaw State. She ranks 18th in the country in double-doubles with five in nine games. She has already collected an ASUN Player of the Week award, which came after week one of the season.Â
• Kennesaw State comes to Pittsburgh with four student-atheletes on the roster from the area. Breanna Hoover, Amani Johnson, Gabi Legister and Gillian Piccolino all return to their home state.Â
• One of the Owls' keys to victory this season has been rebounding the basketball. When Kennesaw State out-rebounds opponents, the Owls are 4-0 so far this season.
• The Owls are trying to pick up their sixth win of the season this evening Dec. 20. Last season, it took until Feb. 9 for Kennesaw State to pick up its sixth win of the season.Â
• Amani Johnson has proven to be scrappy on the defensive end of the floor this season. She currently ranks second among ASUN players with 2.0 steals per game, a figure that ranks 157th in the country.Â
• A trend that continues from last season, Amani Johnson rarely gets taken off the court. This season, she is averaging 38:41 minutes per contest, which ranks sixth in the country.
• During the summer, it was announced that the Owls were ranked No. 20 in the WBCA Academic rankings. The Owls were the sole program in the ASUN to receive the honor as well as the only program in the state of Georgia to be recognized on the list. KSU ended the season with a 3.54 GPA.
• The Owls welcome two newcomers on this year's squad, Gillian Piccolino and Gabi Legister. Both hail from the Pittsburgh, Pa. area and logged significant playing time during the team's Italian Summer Tour.
• Two new faces will be seen on the Kennesaw State bench this season. This summer, Coach Berenato introduced Janell Crayton and Alex Winchell as assistant coaches. Crayton comes to Kennesaw State from Hampton University, where she served as an assistant coach. Winchell joins the KSU staff from Memphis.Â
Scouting Duquesne
• Duquesne is off to a hot 9-2 start so far in 2019, capturing nine wins in the first 11 contests.Â
• The Dukes do an incredible job taking care of the basketball, leading the A10 in assists, assists per game and assistant-turnover ratio.Â
• The Dukes are a very balenced bunch, with three players averaging double digits this season. Libby Bazelak leads DU with 13.8 points per game, followed by Laia Sole (13.5) and Amanda Kalin (12.0).
