KENNESAW, Ga. – Three members of the Kennesaw State women's track and field team were honored for their performances at the Clemson Opener by the ASUN Conference on Wednesday.
Tionna Fant,
Khiah Williams and
Britiney Johnson were named the ASUN Track, Field and Freshman Athletes of the Week.
Fant won the 200m at the Clemson Opener after a posting a time of 24.75 seconds. Her time leads the ASUN and is tied for 20
th in the NCAA this season. This his first career ASUN Track Athlete of the Week Award.
Williams took third in her KSU debut in the long jump. The freshman landed a mark of 5.82m (19'1.25") which ranks first in the ASUN and 22
nd in the NCAA. It marks the first time in her career that he has been honored as the ASUN Field Athlete of the Week.
Johnson finished fourth in the 600m in a time of 1:34.53 to establish a new school record in the event and collect ASUN Freshman of the Week award.
The Owls will travel back to Clemson, S.C. for the Clemson Invitational on Jan. 16-17, 2020.
