KENNESAW, Ga. – The Owls swept the ASUN weekly awards as Paris Williams, Brenton Rosa and Tanner Duffin collected the ASUN Track, Field and Freshman of the Week awards the conference announced on Wednesday (Dec. 11).
Williams won the 60m hurdles in a time of 7.93 at the Clemson Opener. He posted a time of 7.89 during the preliminary. His time of 7.89 seconds tops the ASUN and NCAA this season. This is his second ASUN Track Athlete of the Week Award in his career.
Rosa won the pole vault after he cleared 4.95m (16'2.75"). The mark tied the school record and ranks first in the ASUN and 18th in the country this season. This is his first ASUN Field Athlete of the Week Award.
Duffin set the school record in the shot put in his first meet as an Owl. The freshman landed a throw of 17.79m (58'4.5") to win the event. His mark is currently tops the ASUN and is 15th in the NCAA this season.
KSU will compete in the Clemson Invitational on Jan. 16-17, 2020.
