All-Conference Selections and Preseason Polls
KENNESAW, Ga.-
Kamiyah Street and
Alexis Poole have been named to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference list, the league announced today.
Street, a 2018-19 First Team All-Conference player, adds to her career accolades after earning the 2017-18 Freshman of the Year award and a spot on the ASUN All-Tournament team a year ago. She started 30 games for the Owls last season and finished as the Owls leading scorer, after pouring in 16.9 points per contest. Street rebounded well for her position as well, as she grabbed 4.5 rebounds per contest.
The Atlanta, Ga., native set a Division I program record against Seton Hall when she netted 41 points on Nov. 11 and recorded a season-high 13 rebounds at Liberty on Feb. 26. Street collected ASUN Player of the Week twice in 2018-19. She finished the season as the conference leader in steals per game (3.0) while ranking 14
th in the nation.
Poole earns her spot on the list after starting in 29 games a season ago while contributing 425 points and 252 rebounds. She was second on the squad in scoring average by scoring 14.2 points per game and was the program's leading rebounder after averaging 8.4 rebounds per contest. The Ellenwood, Ga., native led the conference in free throws made (121) and free throws attempted (165) and field goal percentage (49.8).
Alongside the individual preseason accolades, the preseason Coaches' and Media polls were announced. Kennesaw State was picked sixth in the Coaches Poll while coming in at seventh in the Media Poll.
