Final Results
STATESBORO, Ga. --Â The Kennesaw State women's tennis team concluded play at the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout on Saturday at the Wallis Tennis Center.
"We had tough day today as we lost a couple of tough three-setters in a few finals," Director of Tennis
Matt Emery said. "Overall, it was a fantastic weekend for the women. We played this exact same tournament last fall, and the improvement from last year to this year is immeasurable. The women are light years ahead of where we were at this time last fall. That being said, I thought we got outcompeted at some spots today. The weekend was very successful as well as a great learning experience."
Elle Baker and
Brenna Reilly (7-6 (7-4)) and
Paola Cortez and
Taylor Dean (6-2) collected doubles wins on Sunday.
Elle Baked grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 win in singles to round out play for the Owls.
KSU will head to Tallahassee, Fla., for the ITA Southeast Regional October 18-20 at Florida State.
