Louisville, KY. --
Ā The Kennesaw State men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Louisville Invitational on Sunday after a three-day event in Kentucky.

The tournament opened outdoors on Friday but was forced indoors for the final two-and-a-half days due to weather.

"Overall, we had a good weekend in Louisville," Assistant Coach Simon Pritchard said. "It was good for the team to travel north and play some teams we have never played before. Two of our newcomers, Seru and Badola, had particularly good weekends. They both were excellent all weekend and it really showed in their results. Both going 5-2 combined in singles against such high caliber opponents was great to see."

Newcomers Mritunjay Badola and Seru Tezuka paced the Owls in singles action. After falling in his opening match, Badola collective three consecutive wins including a 6-3, 1-6, 10-2 over Taisei Miamoto of Belmont in the consolation final of Flight D. Tezuka won a three-set match over Jake Penny of Lipscomb by a score of 6‐2, 2‐6, 10‐7. He also collected a 6-0, 6-2 win over Jacob Marshall of Chattanooga. Bryan Triana picked up a singles win over ETSU during the weekend.

"We had a great last day to end the tournament. We are consistently having strong final days at these fall tournaments. It's a huge testament to our strength coach Kaitlin and the hard work these guys are putting in every day," said Pritchard.

Bryan Triana and Sebastian Osorio grabbed a 7-5 win over ETSU in their opening doubles match.

KSU will head to Gainesville, Fla., for the ITA Southeast Regional October 24-27 at Florida.
