Match Preview
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team is home for a pair of matches this weekend. Kennesaw State hosts UAB on Friday (Feb.1) at 2 p.m. and UNC Wilmington on Saturday (Feb.2) at noon.

KSU is looking to win its first match of the season. The Owls fell 6-1 in a very competitive match to Samford on Saturday (Jan.26).

Scouting UAB
UAB is 1-2 on the season. The Blazers dropped their opening two matches of the season to Alabama and Lipscomb. They knocked off Tennessee State 6-1 on Sunday (Jan.27).
 
Scouting UNC Wilmington
UNC Wilmington dropped a 4-3 decision to Wofford on Sunday (Jan.19.). The Seahawks were 1-12 in 2018.

The Series
Kennesaw State and UAB have only met four times previously with UAB leading the series 5-0. This will be the first meeting between KSU and UNC Wilmington.   

The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Samford on Saturday (Jan.26) at the Betty Siegel Courts at KSU.
 
 The Owls (0-4) won the doubles point collecting wins in two of the three doubles matches.  Aspen Jarrett and Kendall Nash def. Grace Jennings and Mary Katherine Lewis 6-3 at No.2 doubles. Brenna Reilly and Elle Baker clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Arianna Beltrame and Holly Horsfall.
 
Samford (2-1) won all six of the singles matches. The Owls battled tough in singles as Juliana Castellanos, Kendall Nash, Aspen Jarrett, Zoe Wende and Brenna Reilly all pushed their matches to three sets before falling.

Next Up
The Owls will travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to face Alabama on Sunday (Feb.10) at 12 p.m.
