KENNESAW, Ga. – Terence Norman and
Tyler Simon were named the Preseason ASUN All-Conference Team, the league office announced today (Jan. 23).
Norman, who earned a spot on the 2018 ASUN All-Conference First Team, enters his junior season with the Owls. The Kennesaw, Ga. native led KSU in batting average by hitting .333, which finished fourth in the conference. He was reliable throughout the entire season for the Owls and checked in second on the team and ninth in the ASUN with 63 hits.
The outfielder elevated his play during the conference slate as he hit .354 and recorded 13 RBIs during the 21 conference games.
Simon turned in impressive freshman campaign in 2018 and was named a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American along with earning a spot on the ASUN Second Team All-Conference. He was second on the team and 12
th in the ASUN with a .311 batting average and raised his play against conference opponents as he batted .322.
The sophomore shortstop finished the 2018 season with a slash of .311/.435/.371 and stole seven bases on 10 attempts. He started in 42 games for the Owls during his freshman season and finished second on the squad with 36 runs scored.
As a team, the Owls were picked to finish fifth in the ASUN after a third-place finish in 2018.
