. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track teams wrapped up action at the Samford Multi Event and Samford Invitational on Friday, January 18.
Gray Wins Pentathlon at Samford Multi Meet
Jordan Gray continued her strong start to the season winning the pentathlon at the Samford Multi Meet scoring 4218 points. Gray collected wins in the shot put and long jump portion of the event. Her 4218 points ranks No.1 in the NCAA and No.3 in the world currently.
Williams Takes Third in Heptathlon at Samford Multi Meet
Paris Williams was the top collegiate in the heptathlon winning the 60m and 60m hurdle races. He finished the event with 5328 points. That point total ranks No.3 in the NCAA this season.
Event Wins
- Chuck McConville won the weight throw with a career-best toss of 17.68m (58'0.25).
Personal Best Performances
- Katie Meyer finished fifth in the mile with a personal-best time of 5:14.82.
- Brenda Ayuk ran a time of 2:11.79 in the mile run to finish second.
- Koi Williams posted a time of 1:56.18 to finish second in the 800m.
- Tyler Blalock picked up a runner-up finish in the shot put with a toss of 16.28m (53' 5").
Next Up
The Owls will complete action in the Samford Open on Saturday, January 19
th at the Birmingham Crossplex.
