To start the 2019 indoor track and field season ,the Kennesaw State track and field team's will be traveling to Johnson City, Tennessee to compete in the ETSU Track and Field Invitational. 

MCDANIEL ERA BEGINS
This weekend's meet will be the Owls first under new Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Cale McDaniel. McDaniel came to KSU from Western Carolina where he was the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country for the last two seasons.

LAST TEAM  INDOOR MEET
 Kennesaw State earned its seventh-straight ASUN Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship as the Owls racked up 212 points. This is the ninth indoor championship the team has won, which is the most all-time in the conference. The women's track and field team finished runner-up to Jacksonville with 147 points 

NEXT UP
The team will travel to Birmingham, Alabama for three meets hosted by Samford University January 17-19 at the Birmingham Crossplex.

NEWS AND NOTES
»   The men's track and field team return to the track this season looking to defend their indoor and outdoor conference championships. Last year, the Owls swept the indoor and outdoor championships for the seventh time in the program's history.
 
»   The men's team this season features 24 athletes on this year's roster including three seniors, six juniors, seven sophomores and eight freshmen.
 
» The women's track and field team are in pursuit of their second ASUN title. The Owls have finished runner-up  seven times.
 
» This year's women's team features 41 athletes on this year's roster with 18 freshmen, eight sophomores, nine juniors and seven seniors.  

» Around 57 Owls are scheduled to make their 2019 season debut at the ETSU Track and Field Invitational.
