EDITOR'S NOTE: The Kennesaw State Department of Athletics will induct four new members into its Hall of Fame later this week. A ceremony will be held Friday (Sept. 28) at the Embassy Suites in Kennesaw. The inductees will also be recognized during Saturday's KSU football game against Samford at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Today, we get to know Patrina Hayes-Nicholson, who enjoyed a standout career as a member of the KSU women's cross country team from 2004-05.

KENNESAW, Ga. - Four new members will be inducted into the Kennesaw State Athletics Hall of Fame when the Department of Athletics holds its annual induction ceremony on Friday. 
 
This year's class will include Jerome McKinzie (men's track and field; 2007-10), Patrina Hayes-Nicholson (women's cross country; 2004-05), Colby Tilley (women's basketball head coach; 1995-2012) and Laura Tucker (women's soccer; 2003-06).

Patrina Hayes-Nicholson (Women's Cross Country; 2004-05)
A 2004 NCAA Division II All-American, Patrina Hayes helped her teams to the 2004 Peach Belt Conference championship and 2005 ASUN Conference title. She earned All-Peach Belt Conference and All-Southeast Region honors in 2004 and garnered 2005 All-ASUN Conference recognition. Hayes remains the program's record holder in the 5K with a mark of 17:03.00. Hayes earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and health science.
