GREENVILLE, S.C. –The Kennesaw State women's golf team moved into second place after 36 holes at the Lady Paladin Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 22).
The Owls recorded a 2-over par total of 290 in the second round. Furman continues to lead the 17-team field at 10-under par 566.
"Another solid day on the course from the team," head coach
Rhyll Brinsmead. "Again we had contributions and low scores from different team members. This is ideal as it's a testament to the depth of this squad. We're in a great place headed into the final round tomorrow and look forward to competing for a win!"
Roanne Tomlinson paced the Owls on Saturday with a 2-under par 70.
Madison Caldwell carded a 1-under par 71 as both players are at tied for sixth at 1-under par 143 after two rounds. Tomlinson and Caldwell combined to roll in six birdies on Saturday.
Clara Aveling posted a 1-over par 73 and is tied for 28
th at 4-over par 148. Aveling's 26 pars are tied for seventh-most in the field.
Chloe Thornton fired a 4-over par 76 in the second round, while
Charlotte Charrayre shot a 9-over par 81. They are tied for 44
th at 7-over par 151. Thornton played her final nine holes of the day at even par.
