XC: Owls Reveal 2018 Schedule

8/3/2018 3:57:00 PM

Men's Schedule | Women's Schedule

KENNESAW, Ga. –
Fourth-year head coach David Poteet  announced on Friday (Aug. 3rd) the 2018 Kennesaw State men's and women's cross country schedule.

"The schedule this season is designed to limit the wear down effect if travel and emphasize development against division 1 competition," Poteet said. "By limiting overnight trips, it allows runners to get sleep in their own beds. We have a lot of freshmen on our rosters, so developing them is key to having a good showing at conference. Our returners will be stronger so dropping times will be critical. We also have freshmen who should make an immediate impact in the front end."

KSU begins the season at the JSU Struts Season Opener on Friday, August 31 in Oxford, Alabama for the second consecutive season.

The Owls head to Athens, Georgia to make their debut at the Bulldog Invitational on Saturday, September 16.

Kennesaw State will conclude the month with the Queens Invitational on Saturday, September 28. Two weeks later, the teams will compete at the Berry Invitational on October 13 in Rome.

KSU will compete at the 2018 ASUN Championships in Newark, New Jersey.

The Florida State University will host the 2018 NCAA South Regional on November 9, with the NCAA Championships taking place just eight days later on November 17 in Madison, Wisconsin.
