Women's Tennis Schedule

Kennesaw, Ga.
 — Five fall tournaments and 21 spring dual matches make up the 2018-19 Kennesaw State women's tennis schedule that was announced by Director of Tennis Matt Emery on Thursday.

"We are really excited about both our fall and spring season," Emery said.  "Our staff worked hard to come up with a fall schedule that is challenging, but also provides them an opportunity to compete and play a ton of matches."

The Owls open the fall season at the Mercer Gridiron Classic (Oct.5-7) before heading to the Georgia Southern Fall Invitational (Oct.12-14). The fall season concludes with trips to the ITA Regional Championships (Oct.18-22), The Roberta Allison Invite hosted by Alabama (Oct.26-28) and the Furman Hidden Dual (Nov. 2-4).

Fans will have plenty of opportunities to see the Owls at home this spring as 15 of the team's 21 matches will take place on the Betty Siegel Courts.

KSU opens the spring season at Kentucky on January 16, 2019.

"We were able to add a Top 25 road match this Spring at Kentucky, which will be a great experience for the team as we make strides towards that goal ourselves," Emery stated.

The Owls' home opener is set for Jan. 26 vs Samford. Highlights of the non-conference home slate include Mercer (Feb.13), Murray State (Feb.24) and Georgia Southern (Mar.1).

"One thing that excites us about our spring schedule is we have 15 matches at home. I know these ladies would love the support of Owl Nation at these matches and create a true home court advantage," Emery said.

KSU will host ASUN Conference opponents Liberty (Mar.23), North Alabama (Apr.1) and North Florida (Apr.4).

The 2019 ASUN Conference Tournament is scheduled for April 18-20 in DeLand, Florida on the campus of Stetson University.

The NCAA Tournament opens with first and second round action May 3-5. The top 16 teams will advance to Super Regional play at the campus site of the higher seeds May 11. The final eight teams will move on to the national championships at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla on May 16-20.
