Men's Division-I ITA Academic Team List | Women's Division-I ITA Academic Team List

KENNESAW, Ga. -- The Kennesaw State men's and women's tennis teams collected  Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic honors, the organization announced Tuesday. It is the ninth consecutive honor for the men and seventh straight for the women.
 
Seven members of the men's squad were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes with four ITA Scholar-Athletes coming from the women.

The seven men honored for their achievement in the classroom were Fermin Calvo Barcelo, Lucas de Torres Curth, Corey Smith, Drew Lahey, Manuel Castellanos, Harrison Wood  and Tino Dahlem. The women's student-athletes were Elle Baker, Cristina Perez-Martin and Jada Tijani and Aspen Jarrett.

 The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CA JUCO eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).
