GSGA Women's Top 60 Final Results
Kennesaw, Ga. – Rising seniors
Madison Caldwell and
Medy Thavong competed in the 37
th playing of GSGA Top 60 Women's Golf Classic at The Manor Golf and Country Club on June 27-28.
"Another event, another awesome result for the Owls," head coach
Rhyll Brinsmead said. "The first round scores of 67 (Madison) and 68 (Medy) were outstanding. I'm also really proud of Madison's 2nd place finish shooting 67-72. She's playing some great golf right now with the guts of her summer schedule remaining. I'm excited to see more solid results from her and the team."
Caldwell finished second in the event with a 5-under par total of 139. She opened the tournament with a 5-under par round of 67 in the first round. The Milton, Ga. native carded an eagle and three birdies in the first round. She posted an even-par round of 72 in the final round with 16 pars and a birdie.
Thavong took home a tie for 20
th place in the two-day event at 9-over 153. She fired a 4-under par 68 with six birdies in Wednesday's first round. In round two, she shot a 13-over 85.
