FSGA Women's Amateur Recap | King's Prize 18-36 Hole Results
KENNESAW, Ga. – Clara Aveling and
Roanne Tomlinson have each posted individual wins in tournament play this summer.

Rhyll Brinsmead said. "The events they earned wins at are two very prestigious events and I'm very proud. Both had to play quality golf to earn victories. I'm excited for this momentum to flow into our 2018-19 season."
Aveling won the King's Prize 18-36 hole event that took place on May 26-27 at the Par-70 Royal Ostend Golf Club in De Haan, Belgium. The rising junior fired rounds of 72-67 for a 1-under total of 139 to win the event by seven shots. She rolled in an eagle, six birdies and 23 pars to collect the win in the two-day event.
Tomlinson won the 89th FSGA Women's Amateur Championship, which was held at the par-72 Falls Club of The Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, Florida. The tournament is the oldest and most prestigious on the Women's Championship Schedule. Previous winners of the event include Cristie Kerr, Meghan Stasi and Taffy Brower. Tomlinson finished tied for 22
nd after rounds of 74-73 in the stroke play qualifier to advance to match play in the round of 64. Tomlinson cruised into the round of 32 with a 6&5 win over Isabel Herrera. In the round of 32, she collected a 3&2 win over Elle Folland. In the round of 16, the rising senior won five of the final seven holes to pick up a 3&2 win over Lauren Heinlein. She opened the final nine holes of her quarterfinal match against Emma Bradley with four consecutive birdies to collect a 2&1 win. Tomlinson secured her spot in the final with a 1-up win over Mindy Herrick in a match that went 19 holes. In Sunday's final, Tomlinson got off to a slow start before rebounding to pick up a 4&3 win over Karolin Tuttle and collect her second FSGA title. Last year, Tomlinson won the FSGA Stroke Play Championship with rounds of 74-74-73 for a 5-over par total of 221.
