WG: Owls 14th After 36 Holes at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The No.45 Kennesaw State women's golf team played the second round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional on Tuesday at the par-72 Don Veller Seminole Golf Course.
 
The Owls carded a 5-over par 293 in the second round and sit in 14th with a two-round total of 13-over par 589. KSU's score of 293 is the lowest score shot by an Owls team in an NCAA Regional. No. 2 Alabama leads the 18-team field at 18-under 558.
 
"We had another really solid day on the course, beating our first round by three shots," head coach Rhyll Brinsmead said. "I am really proud of the whole team and the way they've approached this postseason. We have seen some really good golf from all five players and I'm excited to get out there tomorrow and give our final round everything we have."
 
Madison Caldwell fired a 2-under par 70 in the second round to pace the Owls. Her score was the lowest by an Owl in a NCAA Regional. The junior made six birdies during her round. She is tied for 29th at even-par 144.
 
Roanne Tomlinson carded an even-par round of 72. She played her first nine holes at 1-under par 35. She is tied for 41st at 3-over par 147.
 
Henriette Nielsen posted a 5-over par 77. She is tied for 57th at 6-over par 150.
 
Clara Aveling is tied for 79th with a two-round total of 10-over par 154.
 
Charlotte Charrayre rolled in 17 pars and recorded a 2-over par 74 in the second round. She is tied for 81st at 11-over par 155.
 
Round three of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional will take place on Wednesday, May 9 at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course. The Owls will be paired with Denver and Coastal Carolina.
