Kennesaw State returns after a break from final exams to host Georgia State and Georgia Southern at Stillwell Stadium. KSU defeated both teams earlier this year on the road and will be looking for the season sweep. The Georgia Southern game was originally scheduled for 5 p.m., but will now start at 6 p.m.

ON DECK
  • Kennesaw State (24-20) will play the next six games at home beginning with Georgia State and Georgia Southern. KSU defeated both the Panthers and Eagles earlier this season on the road and will be looking for the season sweep against both opponents.
  • KSU is 2-3 overall against teams from the state of Georgia this season. The two wins came against Georgia State and Georgia Southern.
  • Kennesaw State sits in second place in the ASUN with a 10-5 record. Stetson leads the ASUN with an 11-3 record with two weekends remaining.
  • A big part of KSU's strong start in conference play has been its success on Friday nights led by RHP AJ Moore. The Owls are 8-3 this season on Friday's and 4-1 so far in ASUN play. Moore is fifth in the conference with a 2.39 ERA on the season.
  • After a weekend on the road, Kennesaw State is happy to be back at home in Stillwell Stadium. The Owls are 18-10 at home and have won their last seven series at home.
  • Tyler Simon has had a great freshman season leading the team and is sixth in the ASUN with a .328 batting average. He also has the highest slugging percentage at .478. The third baseman has 44 hits with nine doubles and three home runs.
  • The Owls lead the ASUN in extra base hits with 86 doubles, 7 triples and 36 home runs. The 86 doubles is tied for the lead in the ASUN with Stetson.
  • In the first two games against Grambling State, Kennesaw State scored over 20 runs. Counting those two games, the Owls have posted 20-plus runs four times in the DI era. It was the first time that KSU has scored over 20 runs two games in a row since 1994.
  • With the two wins over Lipscomb, head coach Mike Sansing sits nine wins away from winning 1,000 career games as a member of the KSU family. Sansing holds a 991-570 (.634) record at Kennesaw State and a 1,093-596 (.642) all-time in 30 seasons. He is in his 27th season with the Owls.
